Call for Volunteers: Certification Exam French Translation Working Groups

Attention bilingual nuclear medicine technologists and radiation therapists!

Beginning in 2027, the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) plans to offer all four entry-to-practice certification exams in both English and French. Currently, only the radiological technology and magnetic resonance exams are available in both languages.

CAMRT is seeking 2–3 subject matter experts to join discipline-specific working groups that will support the French translation of certification exam content. Volunteers will collaborate with a facilitator from our psychometric consulting team to review translated exam materials for accuracy, clarity, and consistency of professional terminology. Volunteers will serve an initial two-year term, with the opportunity to extend.

To support the launch of the nuclear medicine and radiation therapy certification exams in French, working groups will meet virtually for approximately 4–6 hours this summer and an additional 4–6 hours in early 2027.

We welcome volunteers from both clinical and academic settings. Preference will be given to individuals whose first language is French or those with previous translation experience. If you are interested, please complete the online application form by Sunday, June 28, 2026.
