Clinical Advisor/Delegated Assessors

It is the candidate’s responsibility to identify a clinical advisor (CA) at the clinical site and to ensure the clinical advisor is made aware of their role. See Role and Responsibilities of a Clinical Advisor.

Clinical Advisor/Delegated assessor eligibility requirements can be found in each Certificate Program’s Handbook.

Clinical Advisors must:

  1. Perform the assessment on the candidate for procedures/associated competencies or delegate assessment to another technologists
  2. Verify that others delegated to assess the candidate are credentialed and competent in their practice

The clinical advisor or delegated assessor will observe and assess each procedure/competency and sign/date the Summary of Clinical Competence (SCC) at the time competency is verified.
