CAMRT dues are non-refundable, except in the case of an approved leave of absence (such as parental leave or sick leave) or retirement. Refunds/changes to membership will not be provided after October 31.
Active members who are retiring have two options:
- Change your membership category to Emeritus membership (2026 & 2027 = $39/year) and continue receiving member benefits (except PLI) and communication from CAMRT; or
- Cancel your membership and no longer be a member of the CAMRT
Members choosing to change to Emeritus membership will continue to have access to all member benefits except for Professional Liability Insurance**. Members will be refunded the difference in price between their unused Full Practice CAMRT membership and that of a Emeritus membership.
Members choosing to cancel their membership will no longer be members and will not be eligible for member benefits. Members will be refunded the unused portion of their CAMRT dues.
Members are required to inform CAMRT of their upcoming leave, using the form below, no sooner than 30 days before the expected last day of work or within 30 days after the last day worked. Members contacting the office more than 30 days after the last date worked may still be eligible for a refund, but only from the date of notification.
I'm going on parental leave, what do I do?
CAMRT dues are non-refundable, except in the case of an approved leave of absence (such as parental leave or sick leave) or retirement. Refunds/changes to membership will not be provided after October 31.
Active members wishing to suspend their membership during a parental leave have two options:
- Change your membership category to Non-Practicing and continue receiving member benefits (except PLI); or
- Cancel your membership and not be a member of the CAMRT for the duration of your leave
Members who choose to change their membership to Non-Practicing during their leave of absence will continue to have access to all member benefits except for Professional Liability Insurance**, which is not included in Non-Practicing memberships. Members will be refunded the difference in price between their unused Full Practice CAMRT membership and that of a pro-rated Non-Practicing membership (see pricing above).
Members choosing to cancel their membership will not be eligible for member benefits or discounts (such as discounts on CPD or event registrations, or member discount programs such as Telus, GoodLife Fitness, or TD Insurance) for the duration of their leave. Members will be refunded the unused portion of their CAMRT dues.

Payments & Billing
Where can I find my receipt?
Paying by monthly instalments and seeking a consolidated receipt?
Our system creates receipts as each monthly transaction goes through. We do not provide one receipt outlining all dues paid for the year. That said, CAMRT does provide a Statement of Dues letter that outlines all payments processed for the membership year. This letter is available in your member account under ‘My Membership’. Please note, this is not an official receipt.
How do I update my payment information?
How can I pay for my membership dues?
You can pay for your membership online via your member account using a credit card.
Payment Options
Full Practice members may choose between paying their membership in full (dues paid all at once) or by monthly credit card instalments (dues paid over twelve easy payments). CAMRT accepts payment by credit card.
Monthly Instalment Details
When selecting this option, members pay dues in monthly instalments rather than paying the full amount at once. Members are still committed to a full year membership and agree to pay all owing monthly payments for the remainder of the year.*
Upon purchase, the first month of instalment dues and the full cost of Professional Liability Insurance will be charged. Monthly instalments will be charged on the 1st of every month.
It is the member’s responsibility to ensure the credit card information in their online CAMRT account is up-to-date. Members are responsible for any missed payments. Three consecutive missed payments will result in the cancellation of membership unless the balance is paid in full.
*Please refer to our refund policy for more details.
How does auto-renewal work?
Choose automatic renewal at checkout to keep your membership active without having to remember to renew each year. Your membership fee will be charged to your saved payment method before your membership expires.
How to Opt-in to Auto-Renewal
Simply add your credit card under the section ‘My Payment Methods’ in your CAMRT member account prior to purchasing your membership. At checkout for your membership purchase, you will asked whether you would like your membership to auto-renew. Note, auto-renewal memberships are only available for Full Practice Memberships.
If you have already purchased your membership and did not select to have it auto-renew, please email membership@camrt.ca and we will make the change to your account. We hope to have this feature available for members to do themselves in the near future.
How does it Work?
Email reminders will be sent between October and December to notify you of the upcoming payment and processing of your membership for the upcoming year.
1) Auto-Renewal for Pay-in-Full Memberships
Your membership will automatically renew each January for a full year term.
Payment of the full membership dues will be taken in early December from the credit card on file to secure the membership for the upcoming year. It is the responsibility of the member to ensure a valid credit card is saved on file.
2) Auto-Renewal for Monthly Instalment Memberships
Your membership will automatically renew each January for a subsequent full year term of the same membership type (a Full Practice Membership, pay by monthly instalments).
The first monthly instalment payment (January) and the full cost of PLI will be charged in early December to secure the membership for the upcoming year. The next monthly payment will not be until February 1st and will continue on the 1st of every month through until the end of the year. It is the responsibility of the member to ensure a valid credit card is saved on file.
How to Cancel the Auto-Renewal Option?
You can cancel the auto-renewal option at any time by contacting membership@camrt.ca. This will not cancel your current membership but will stop the auto-renewal process for the upcoming year. Our existing refund policy applies to the active membership.
