National Innovation Snapshot – in collaboration with CAMRT

CAMRT is sponsoring up to five Travel Awards to present in the National Innovation Snapshot. This includes a minimum of $300 towards travel costs and complimentary conference registration valued at $450. This generous support is being made available to encourage RTi3 participation from Radiation Therapists across the country. Travel Awards will go to the top peer-reviewed submissions. To be eligible for this Travel Award, the submission must come from a centre situated more than 250 km from Toronto.

Innovation submissions will be open until March 15, 2019. Presenters will be notified of their acceptance by email before March 29, 2019.

About the National Innovation Snapshot:
An annual conference highlight now in its 5th year, this rapid-fire session provides Radiation Therapists from across Canada an opportunity to showcase their local, practice-based innovations to the wider community. Work presented need not be formal research, but should be innovative and of interest to a range of practice settings. Brand new for 2019, RTi3 is proudly collaborating with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) to deliver this session.

Submissions will follow a peer-review selection process. At RTi3, presenters will be allowed a structured 5-min presentation to deliver their content. All presenters selected for the National Innovation Snapshot will receive complimentary conference registration.

Submission instructions:
A brief summary (maximum 300 words in total) is required by Friday March 15, 2019, and structured as follows:
– Title
– Background
– Innovation
– Progress/Outcomes

Information for the presenter is also required during submission (First and Last Name, Name of Institution[s]/Affiliation[s], Email, Telephone, Position in Institution, Credentials Held) This is required to apply for continuing education credits for the conference program.

Note that Travel Awards cannot be guaranteed for all participants. All interested centres/participants are responsible for all incurred costs at the time of submission.
