
CAMRT 2026 Call for Proposals
Apply to present at CAMRT 2025, taking place May 28-29, 2026 at the Victoria Convention Center in Victoria, British Columbia!
We are inviting education presentations, research study abstracts, and practice innovation/initiative abstracts to build a diverse and engaging conference program. Submissions may highlight topics related to any discipline or be of general interest (e.g., patient care and experience, department management, innovative education, leadership, self-care, mental health, career progression, etc.).

Submissions will be accepted in both English and French.
Types of Proposals/Abstracts

| This stream invites submissions that explore professional learning and growth through experience and reflection. It is ideal for practitioners, students, or educators who wish to share stories, case studies, lessons learned, or critical reflections arising from real-world experiences in clinical, educational, or leadership settings.
Submissions in this category may not involve formal research methodology but should demonstrate:

Research abstracts report prospective or retrospective studies using formal scientific approaches. They typically describe a systematic investigation designed to answer a question and/or test a hypothesis, with valid conclusions supported by the results.
Required Sections:
*For student submissions only: If final data are not available by the deadline, you may submit a preliminary abstract (Purpose and Methods). Results and Conclusions must be submitted at a later date. New for 2026: Research Study abstracts accepted for presentation will also be considered for publication in the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences (JMIRS). Accepted authors need to ensure that all required submission fields (title, abstract sections, disclosures, etc.) are completed in full as this information is required for publication. The CAMRT conference team will coordinate directly with the JMIRS editorial team to manage the publication process. |
Practice innovation abstracts describe the development of novel innovations and process or quality improvement projects that have the potential to impact daily practice, the profession and patient care.
Required Sections:
New for 2026: Practice Innovation/ Initiative abstracts accepted for presentation will also be considered for publication in the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences (JMIRS). Accepted authors need to ensure that all required submission fields (title, abstract sections, disclosures, etc.) are completed in full as this information is required for publication. The CAMRT conference team will coordinate directly with the JMIRS editorial team to manage the publication process. |
An opportunity to showcase original research or practice innovation in both hard copy and digital PDF formats.

Key Information for Presenters
- Selected presenters will receive either an honorarium or a discounted registration, depending on the session type, length, and format. Details are in the Speaker Cheat Sheet.
- Travel and accommodation costs are the responsibility of presenters. Discounted hotel and flight rates will be available.
- CAMRT 2026 is a fully hybrid event. All presenters must be able to present live and in-person at the conference. Each session will occur twice:
- Once for the in-person audience at the podium
- Once for the virtual audience live from the onsite virtual studio
