CAMRT is participating in this debate, the closing session today (June 16th) at the National Health Leaders Conference in Charlottetown, PEI. Director of Professional Practice, Mark Given, will present a resolution that governments in Canada collaborate to define and implement innovative approaches to optimizing scopes of practice across all health care professionals. This resolution was selected from 50 received by debate organizers, and was voted third of ten in the delegate voting for the five resolutions going forward for debate. It builds on recommendations that CAMRT has tabled with the House of Commons Health Committee’s study on the federal role in scopes of practice, and with the Health Minister’s Advisory Panel on Healthcare Innovation.
