While I have not been part of CAMRT for long, my time as CEO has already shown me the vital role MRTs play within Canada’s healthcare system. One of the greatest privileges of my time has been the opportunity to meet so many of you—within your workplaces, at professional gatherings, and through meaningful conversations that continually reaffirm the exceptional skill, compassion, and innovation that define our profession. Every day, your expertise ensures that patients receive safe, precise, and compassionate care through the use of advanced medical imaging and radiation technologies.
This week offers a meaningful opportunity to recognize and celebrate your essential contributions to patient care and to the broader healthcare community. We see how hard you work—and we are equally committed to working hard for you. CAMRT continues to lead and support MRTs in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment by strengthening advocacy, expanding partnerships, and engaging with national associations, federal partners, and elected officials to amplify your voice. Our recent Globe and Mail feature brought national visibility to your work—from highlighting workforce shortages to raising awareness of your vital contributions.
