CPQR is a standing committee of the Canadian Association of Provincial Cancer Agencies.

Background
The CPQR Key Quality Indicators (KQI) were originally developed between 2011 and 2015 to
support consistent measurement and continuous quality improvement across radiation therapy
programs in Canada. Since their development, clinical practice has evolved significantly,
including the adoption of new technologies, advances in treatment techniques, and the
emergence of new models of care delivery.

In light of these changes, there is a need to review and update the KQI framework to ensure it remains relevant, feasible, and aligned with current practice across jurisdictions. This includes considering how indicators can better reflect contemporary workflows, support meaningful quality improvement, and remain practical for implementation across diverse clinical settings.

Working Group Purpose

The purpose of this working group is to:

Review existing CPQR Key Quality Indicators in the context of current clinical practice Identify gaps where updates or new indicators may be required

Ensure alignment with modern technologies, treatment techniques, and models of care

Support the development of updated, practical, and measurable indicators that enable quality improvement across radiation therapy programs

Provide recommendations for implementation considerations and future maintenance of the KQI framework

Working Group Commitment

Members will be expected to:

Participate in several virtual meetings over the course of approximately one year

Provide input and feedback electronically between meetings

Review and comment on draft materials in a timely manner

Contribute subject matter expertise from clinical, technical, operational, or quality perspectives

Expression of Interest
We are seeking participation from individuals with expertise in:

Radiation Oncology

Medical Physics

Radiation Therapy

Quality and Program Evaluation

Radiation Oncology Informatics or Health System Performance Measurement

To Apply

Interested individuals are invited to submit a brief expression of interest outlining:

Current role and area of expertise

Relevant experience with quality indicators, standards, or program evaluation

Interest in contributing to this work

Any prior involvement with CPQR or related initiatives

Please submit expressions of interest by June 12, 2026 to Kristi MacKenzie kmackenzie@capca.ca.

We appreciate your consideration of this opportunity to contribute to the ongoing evolution of national quality standards in radiation oncology.

Call for Expression of Interest – Working Group to Update Radiotherapy Key Quality Indicators (KQI) The Canadian Partnership for Quality Radiotherapy (CPQR), is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from individuals […]

[104

post-62318","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-nouvelles
["GET
