Call for Applications
The CAMRT will host its annual Leadership Development Institute in Ottawa from October 31st to November 2nd, 2025.
This 3-day event is designed to engage CAMRT members who have demonstrated leadership potential and a commitment to the advancement of the medical imaging or radiation therapy professions. The program’s objective is to develop a vibrant and motivated volunteer base to draw on for future leadership needs of the CAMRT and their provincial partners, and at the same time, to provide leaders with enhanced skills that will further their professional progress.
A maximum of ten participants will be accepted from this call for applications, with a minimum of five participants having ten or less years experience. CAMRT would cover participants’ travel and accommodation expenses.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the program, participants will be able to:
- Apply effective leadership skills to their professional life,
- Identify their personality type and their unique set of strengths and challenges,
- Illustrate the required skills to facilitate meetings,
- Practice effective communication skills,
- Apply coaching skills,
- Examine techniques for creative problem-solving,
- Recommend methods of communication and actions that support effective teamwork.
As well, participants will gain some understanding of leadership within the MRT profession, along with experiencing national networking opportunities with their peers.
Criteria for Application
At the time of submission, applicants should:
- Be a full-practice member of the CAMRT for at least the past two consecutive years
- Be employed in an MRT-related profession
- Demonstrate their Contribution to the profession, and their Commitment to personal and professional development*
- Provide evidence of leadership within the practice of the profession, and their Volunteerism*, and
- MUST be willing to volunteer within the CAMRT or their respective provincial association within a year of completing the program
Interested members who meet the eligibility criteria are invited to complete and submit the application form no later than Monday, June 30, 2025.
