Raising the Voice of BC MRTs

CAMRT-BC is the authoritative voice for medical radiation technologists (MRTs) in British Columbia. Throughout its diverse advocacy, CAMRT-BC focuses on efforts that build awareness of the essential contributions of MRTs to the health of British Columbians (both within the general public and the wider healthcare community), and on addressing the positions and perspectives of MRTs on key issues. This advocacy, across its multiple fronts, means the voice of the MRT profession is heard loud and clear.

CAMRT-BC organized an advocacy day at the BC Legislature in Victoria on April 24, 2024, seeking more government support for the MRT profession, particularly to address workforce shortages and its impacts. CAMRT-BC delegates had the opportunity to discuss key issues affecting MRTs and share personal stories about how current circumstances are impacting MRTs and their patients with MLAs and government officials.

CAMRT-BC plans to organize another advocacy day at the BC Legislature following the 2024 provincial election.
