CAMRT Foundation
Who we are...
The CAMRT Foundation exists to support its members and the advancement of the profession. As such, the Foundation:
- Promotes pride in the profession and within our ranks.
- Helps members keep abreast of new and emerging technologies.
- Advocates lifelong learning.
- Promotes excellence in patient care.
The CAMRT Foundation was incorporated under the Canada Corporations Act as a charitable organization on January 29, 1987. While it is a separate entity from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), the Foundation compliments and enhances the educational activities of the professional association and its members.
Other...
New legislation in the form of the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act is now in effect. All corporations incorporated under the old legislation must transition to the new act by October 17, 2014. In preparation for this we obtained legal advise through CAMRT legal council on what changes we need to make to the by-laws to comply with the new Act. As a result, several proposed changes have been made and the following link (http://www.camrt.ca/aboutcamrt/camrtfoundation/CAMRTF_By-Laws_May_2013.doc) outlines all of these changes. We are herby notifying members that a motion will be made at the CAMRT Foundation AGM on May 23, 2013 in St. John's NL to accept all proposed by-law changes en mass.
